Capoeira Malandragem is dedicated to sharing the rich Brazilian tradition of capoeira with the community of Dublin. Led by the physical educator with a postgraduate degree in psychomotricity Renato (Tatu) Scapin, our team brings extensive experience in teaching individuals of all ages and abilities. Our unique approach focuses on inclusivity and the joy of movement, aiming to make capoeira accessible to everyone. We are committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where individuals can explore the art of capoeira, improve physical fitness, and develop a deeper cultural understanding.
UNIFORM DRESS CODE:
At our school we chose to follow the tradition of our old Masters and kept the classic white uniform (shirt and pants) with our graduation (cord) tying the belt.
Wearing a uniform is not mandatory to participate in classes, but it is mandatory at official events, official Rodas and workshops.
We always encourage our students to train barefoot, as studies carried out on the practice of physical activities without the use of shoes (specifically capoeira) have shown that the benefits for the joints of the feet and knees are enormous.
The use of shorts, skirts, dresses, jeans, high heels or any footwear not suitable for sports is not permitted.

We are affiliated with the Coletivo Capoeira de Valor - Brazil and therefore we follow the same order of graduation that our godfather, Mestre Cícero uses in his school:
